Mission of the Month

Our December Mission of the Month is Meals on Wheels! Meals on Wheels is a nutritious noon time meal delivered Monday through Friday to elderly, homebound seniors in Huntsville. Providing a great meal and a smiling face, we care for and help the elderly live in their own homes longer.

Aldersgate members continue to support this mission every month. With each volunteer delivering just once a month, it takes over 600 volunteers to pick up meals from the Senior Center and deliver them to 225 seniors.

Donations and volunteers are needed. Please help by donating to this mission by designating MOM in the memo line of a check or envelope in the pew and placing in the offering plate.

FIRST STOP Needs Blankets & Coats -

We are collecting warm clothing and blankets for our homeless neighbors at First Stop. Please give items such as warm outer-wear, new/almost-new gloves, toboggans, socks, scarfs, coats and blankets. Your generous donations can be put in the large box in the Choir Room.

Each Sunday we have an opportunity to support one of Aldersgate's missions which provides food for the hungry in our community.

The first Sunday of each month volunteers from our church drive the Salvation Army Canteen to provide hot meals to the homeless. We can support the mission by bringing a loaf of bread to church on the first Sunday.
The second Sunday of each month we can help Huntsville Assistance Program by bringing a can of food to church.
On the third Sunday of each month please bring a pop top can of Chef Boy R Dee. Our church packs and delivers 120 meals each month to Morris School so hungry children have food for the weekends.
